BROWSER WORKSPACE MANAGEMENT
WorkDesk saves your entire browser state and restores it with one click. AI automatically names, groups, and organizes your tabs so you can focus on the work, not the browser.
One click saves your entire current browser state as a named workspace. Restore it exactly as it was. AI suggests names, groups similar tabs, and cleans up duplicates.
Full session saving
Saves tabs, windows, and Chrome tab groups — restored exactly as you left them
AI semantic search
Find any saved tab or workspace using natural language, not exact URLs
Export & portability
Export workspaces as JSON, CSV, or HTML bookmarks for backup or transfer
Click the WorkDesk icon. Save the current window or all open windows as a workspace. AI suggests a name based on your open tabs.
Close the session. Open a new project. Come back to your saved workspace any time — all tabs restore exactly where you left them.
Search workspaces in natural language. "The React docs I had open last Tuesday" — WorkDesk finds it instantly without needing the URL.
Yes. WorkDesk fully supports Chrome tab groups. When you restore a workspace, your groups are recreated exactly as you left them — same colours, same names.
WorkDesk saves workspaces to Chrome's local storage when you explicitly save. If you haven't saved a session yet, it won't be there after a crash. Use the auto-save reminder feature (Pro) to avoid this.
Pro users can export workspaces as JSON and import them on another device. Full cloud sync is on the roadmap.
Chrome session restore only returns the last session. WorkDesk lets you save unlimited named workspaces, switch between them on demand, search them by description, and restore any historical session.
All workspace data is stored locally on your device. Tab URLs and titles may be sent to your AI provider (for naming and search features) if you use a BYOK key. With Gemini Nano (Chrome), everything stays on-device.
